2023 Year in Review

2023 was a challenging year in the telecommunications industry as carriers continue to focus on 5G monetization and managing cost and infrastructure expansion initiatives. Despite these headwinds, Acentury realized increased sales growth in their software automation products across test, deployment and design portfolios. 2024 will see additional investment in R&D and product innovation to help support worldwide market adoption in global mobile carriers, hi-tech enterprises, and network equipment companies.

End of year highlights:

· Flat YoY revenue offset by higher YoY margins due to increased software automation product sales

· An additional 19% YoY headcount growth driven by R&D personnel hires

· Completed new office and lab renovations and doubles our workplace capacity

· Recognized as one of Canada’s top growing companies according to The Globe and Mail's fifth-annual ranking of Canada's Top Growing Companies


Notable product highlights:
LAMTA

  • Three new Communication System Providers (CSPs) - including a global Tier 1 carrier – were added to the user portfolio

  • Released three major software updates, introducing UE Control, RF Monitoring, and support for additional 3rd party attenuator vendors

  • Released several new usability enhancements across the LAMTA UI

OMERA

  • Continues to invest in our automated, zero-touch multi-vendor RAN configuration and deployment solution

  • We are currently working with operators, network equipment and software vendors to expand the OMERA ecosystem with vRAN and O-RAN focus

SynMatrix

  • SynMatrix signed an exclusive OEM partnership agreement with Ansys which enables access to the Ansys worldwide sales and channel partner distribution channels

  • A joint, collaborative project approved by IRAP was kicked off to research on a design automation solution for semiconductor-based RF filter technologies

Radiocomm

  • Helped enable connectivity in Toronto's TTC Subway system with fast turnaround time using Radiocomm RF components

  • Introduced a multi-channel VHF combiner design for a public safety communications application.
