Acentury is delighted to be participating in the O-RAN ALLIANCE technology demos featuring the latest improvements to open and intelligent Radio Access Networks (RAN) at MWC Barcelona 26-29 February 2024. Many of the demos will also be included in the O-RAN Virtual Exhibition, expected to be available at the start of MWC.
The latest products and components based on O-RAN specifications will demonstrate improved efficiency, security, interoperability, and vendor independence for mobile network operators. Examples include machine learning models for network load balancing, orchestrating applications’ requests for network resources, and private network management.
Acentury will be presenting OMERA, a zero-touch O-RAN deployment automation solution that enables mobile network operators and integrators to rapidly configure and deploy multi-vendor sites from a single tool.
Designed to expedite the configuration and deployment of multi-vendor O-RAN sites, OMERA streamlines the deployment process while providing powerful flexibility and control. Benefits that can be realized include:
There will be 41 technology demos planned at MWC 2024 and participating companies from the O-RAN ALLIANCE community include the following: Acentury, AMD, Anritsu, Artiza Networks, AsiaInfo, Asia & Pacific OTIC in Singapore (APOS), Auray Technology, Azcom, Calnex Solutions, Capgemini, CommScope, EANTC, Ericsson, Fujitsu, EURECOM, Future Connections, Groundhog, HCL Technologies, Intel, ITRI, Juniper Networks, Keysight Technologies, Lenovo, LitePoint, LITEON Technology, Malaga University, Metanoia Communication, Net AI, Picocom, Quanta Cloud Technology, Rimedo Labs, Rohde & Schwarz, SageRAN, Samsung, Shabodi, Simnovus, Spirent Communications, Supermicro, SynaXG Technologies, Singapore University of Technology and Design, VIAVI Solutions, Viettel, VMware, Wiwynn and WNC.
Acentury will also be exhibiting at the Canadian pavilion (Hall 7, Booth 7G61) during MWC 2024 to demonstrate the latest release of LAMTA’s RF lab orchestration platform. LAMTA centralizes RF signal distribution and attenuation control and streamlines complex test scenarios such as handovers with MIMO and Carrier Aggregation.
By virtually eliminating test setup and teardown times, LAMTA empowers engineers to focus on analysis and optimization, rather than logistical challenges. Key features of LAMTA 24.1 include:

The O-RAN ALLIANCE is a world-wide community of more than 300 mobile operators, vendors, and research & academic institutions operating in the Radio Access Network (RAN) industry. As the RAN is an essential part of any mobile network, the O-RAN ALLIANCE’s mission is to re-shape the industry towards more intelligent, open, virtualized and fully interoperable mobile networks. The new O-RAN specifications enable a more competitive and vibrant RAN supplier ecosystem with faster innovation to improve user experience. O-RAN based mobile networks at the same time improve the efficiency of RAN deployments as well as operations by mobile operators. To achieve this, the O-RAN ALLIANCE publishes new RAN specifications, releases open software for the RAN, and supports its members in integration and testing of their implementations.
